  I’ve been watching & studying for over 35 years. Climate conferences, Magical Alt-energy claims, Environmentalists talk talk talk. Pro growth deniers crying about Greta & environmentalism stealing their fossil fuel freedom talk talk talk

  Me, I look at data because it cuts through all the talk. Humans will never intentionally slow down fossil fuel burning, unless an equivalent or better energy source becomes available.
  Climate change is one of a number of predicaments & problems that are all consequences of unprecedented human Overshoot.
  Climate change is in runaway mode & the hour is very late.
  Using the data, it shows that if any humans made any effort to reduce emissions, the effort does not show in the emissions data. Statistically insignificant. At this point the “this time is different” weigh in to tell me I’m wrong
  for more time & years than I remember. Call me when you have 3 years of declining emissions that’s not from a decline economy.
  Unless there is a world wide all out effort to suck up & sequester carbon, humans are screwed no matter how you slice it.
  If aliens showed up & looked at the data since 1988 - James Hansen to US senate & the world - It’s us & it’s very serious, the aliens would think we are suicidal because instead of slowing down we threw all our effort behind, pedal to the metal, pigs at the orgy trough, globalization. A handful of young people protested in Seattle & we mocked & crucified them…….then we went on a 35 year shopping spree right to our front door.
  It’s better to say nothing, especially if you are from Canada or the US.
  BTW the book is complete BS. I wonder how much CO2 I’d emit burning a hard copy of this umpteenth version of ‘Magical Thinking for Over-Privileged N Americans’.
