  Feminist nonsense (female author, naturally). Studies that have very clearly shown differences in male/female brains and cognitive abilities can not be easily dismissed as “misogynistic”.

  There is ample evidence, for example, to show that males tend to be better at 3D visualization and abstract mathematical thinking and logic than women (who would have guessed?). This is evidenced by the extremely high proportion of men represented in related fields such as computer programming and engineering. Feminists have not made a convincing case that this is due to a failure of society to “encourage” women to enter these fields. Over the past decades women have been given every encouragement and opportunity, but the statistics remain much the same.

  One can argue, Litote that the reason it appears to remain the same is that the practice of gender stereotyping is still prevalent in homes, even if society appears to be changing. Until upbringing changes, women will sill be forced to wear pink as babies and ribbons, thus reinforcing the stereotype.

  @mantra5: Are you suggesting that parents dissuade girls from pursuing STEM fields? I find this implausible.

  Looking at studies that measure ability, rather than nebulous speculation about socialization, here is one article by an assistant professor of developmental psychology (she is female so let’s not pretend this is chauvinism):

  It is hard to find unbiased scientific studies on this issue among all the PC articles that infest the MSM propounding that everyone is equal and attempting to brush aside obvious difference with specious “arguments” like yours. There are many studies that have found physical difference between male and female brains. These biological difference are not fantasy and may explain the “gender gap” between abilities.

  Does it remain the same or only just appear? Make up your mind.

  If it’s only an appearance, then feminist activism is not needed to fix it since there isn’t a real issue, just an appearance. But since you have to believe that feminist activism is always needed at all times for everything in every context ever, it would seem to follow that you have to believe it’s real, not just an appearance.

  We change society, but that’s not good enough to prove you wrong, because we have to also change upbringing into some really messed up abusive alternative process of forcing girls to be boys?

  If we actually do change upbringing to enact your desired child abuse and that doesn’t work then you’ll just move the goalposts again to something else! This isn’t an evidence-based belief: it’s a dogma!

  In tomorrow’s book, we’ll be examining the amazing contributions of non-binary people throughout history which is pretty astonishing given that they have only existed since they found Tumblr on the Internet and got permission to revel in their brand new mental illness.

  But never mind, there are young minds to rewrite, we are all the same, except when we are not and you will be shot when those differences are not to their liking.

  Who needs lizard people when academia is this useless?

  Ironically, this relates to stuff I have been reading lately about the forced representation of LGBTQ in Television shows/Movies. If anyone broaches that topic, they usually get labelled a bigot or homophobic or transphobic or some other name. The standard straw man retort of LGBTQ advocates, because they are very similar to flat earthers in critical thinking and logical thinking skills. How is over-representing LGBtQ to make it seem like every other person on the street is Trans or Gay forcing our views or agenda on you,etc… Well, first of all, its statistically unrealistic. They love to massively over estimate the amt of people who are LGBTQ (particularly trans, which is so absurdly small its a fraction of a fraction of a percent, yet they make it seem like there are as many trans running around as homosexuals).

  I dont have a problem with a character being gay, or whatever. Thats fine, always has been. I have no prejudices against LGBTQ people. I dont think they are lesser people. I dont think its normal, but that’s because normal is a statistical thing, by definition it isnt normal. So this goal of ‘normalizing’ this isnt exactly legit since it isnt actually normal. But that doesnt mean its wrong or should be discriminated against. Why do things have to be normal, they dont. What happened to being proud of being different?

  I dont have a problem if its part of the original story, etc..What I dont like is the FORCED representation. This idea that they have to have some LGBTQ, or many, in everything in order to come off as being PC. That they specifically insert characters or modify characters in order to make them LGBTQ just to force that representation. Its absurd. It has nothing to do with the person or the story. What does there sexuality and what they get upto in the bedroom have anything to do with roles they play and the plot? Usually nothing, so why forcefully make it such a big issue just to show your being PC. CW and Netflix are particularly bad at this. You would hardly think straight people exist anymore based on watching shows on those channels.

  One of the guys that runs the Arrowverse on CW said we dont have a trans represented, so we gotta have one, and so they introduced Dreamer, not only played by a trans by they also made the character trans. Which makes zero sense, because her powers are only inherited once a generation by a female of the race. Well, hate to break it to you, but you may think your a female but biologically your a male. So there is no way she/he could of developed the powers. Being trans does not allow your to break the natural laws of biology and genetics. And why did the character have to be trans as well? Why is it not enough to just hire a trans activist/actor to play a female role? I mean, isnt that what the person wanted to be, a female. To me that would of said more, then forcing the character to also be trans when it made no sense as to her origin and background of her powers.

  Getting to this book, There was another main argument all the SJW that responded in this discussion were making. How is this being forced on you, its not like we are trying to make people LGBTQ. We are not trying to force our gender politics on anyone. Its not like you can become LGBTQ by watching TV/Movies/Media/etc..Not even children, because as they always claim, they knew they were trans or gay or whatever from Birth (totally absurd). They dont have a choice they claim, its 100% genetic that they are LGBTQ. Well , this book would seem to counter that very argument. That you can actually push people into this.

  Which honestly, I think you can in some cases. I have seen it with my sister and niece. My niece only started claiming to be trans because of immense pressure my sister put on her, and she felt like she has to make her mom happy. It used to be just because you liked things that boys typically did, just meant you were a tom boy. It didnt mean you actually had to literally claim to be a man. Just because my niece didnt like to play with dolls, doesnt like dresses, likes video games, etc.. didnt mean she had to actually be a boy. And she never once had any questions that maybe she should of been a boy, until my sister got heavily involved in LGBTQ stuff and forced her views on my niece. Repeatedly telling her its ok to be a boy, until she felt like she had to in order to make her mom happy. I have no doubt in my mind, non whatsoever, that without my sister my niece never would of given a single thought to being trans. So ya, I have no doubt you can force and train/educate people into adopting LGBTQ lifestyles. Particularly in children.

  Whats next, training children to not recognize gender until a later age where we let them pick what gender they want to be? I mean, thats actually whats being pushed for. In the UK they actually tried to train children to be LGBTQ in schools by telling them they dont have to decide to just be one thing, they can be any sex or orientation as they want and dont have to chose now. I mean really? That is beyond just training acceptance and why it was shut down I guess.

  Now that doest mean the premise of this book is right. As others have pointed out, there are absolutely biologically differences between the male and female brain. No matter what delusional feminist might try and convince you. This is established neurobiological fact. That doesnt mean women are inferior to men or not equal to us. Just means they have differences, which is kind of obvious to anyone who has ever lived. There are areas from a neuroscience perspective that women perform better than men as well. When did being different become such a big deal for these people. Why do they feel like they have make everything seem absolutely the same, normalize it all, as if normal = equal.

Incidentally the most important feature of the author is not that she’s female but that she’s a high ranking professor. You’d think that if women really weren’t smart the antifeminists wouldn’t need to write all those triggered text walls lol

  And how did/do women fare in soviet/post-soviet Russia or Mao’s China? This line of thinking and research is centered around Mao’s little red book of destroying the old, and bringing in the new, and the Communist manifesto’s attack on traditions like the family unit. What is wrong with women thriving under a traditional foundation of family and raising children? If a wife is homeschooling children, it necessitates building a curriculum and education that will only serve to bring value to the marketplace. Even if this audio-book has value, how do you discern actual truths with far-left feminist hogwash? Repackaged communist scientific research, even if influenced by Marxist thought, is too biased and difficult to unravel, in general, shame because this book could have some merit. Triggered text wall out.
