Publisher’s summary
“An accessible, concise, systematic, and comprehensive primer on wellness and healing.” (Dr. Gabor Maté, MD, author of When the Body Says No: The Cost of Hidden Stress)
Do you regularly experience chronic pain, anxiety, fatigue, gut issues, or other symptoms of chronic stress? The Mind-Body Cure will teach you how to manage your stress hormones and eliminate chronic stress in seven simple steps.
In The Mind-Body Cure, Bal Pawa, MD, shares her own story of chronic pain following a tragic car accident. Only when she recognized how stress hormones were disrupting every system in her body, from digestion to immunity to sleep, was she able to reclaim her health. Having healed herself - and many patients since - Dr. Pawa now shares the secrets to long-lasting health and wellness in The Mind-Body Cure.
Most people today are familiar with chronic stress - whether it’s family or work pressures, the anxiety we experience each day never seems to end. It may even feel like we’re always in fight-or-flight mode. As Dr. Pawa explains, the continuous and excessive release of stress hormones in our bodies are behind 75 percent of visits to a doctor’s office. What if we could manage our stress and its harmful side effects with easy and affordable tools? The Mind-Body Cure teaches you to do just that.
Dr. Pawa’s original REFRAME Toolkit offers seven simple ways to reduce chronic stress, including making specific changes to your diet, sleep, exercise habits, and more tools including meditation and mindfulness techniques. Interweaving evidence-based science with practical advice to calm your mind, The Mind-Body Cure helps you move from primitive fight-or-flight mode to send healing hormones into your body instead.
Praise for The Mind-Body Cure:
“What a wonderful combination of medical smarts with heartfelt practical wisdom! Comprehensive, full of examples, and always so useful, The Mind-Body Cure is an excellent book.” (Rick Hanson, PhD, New York Times best-selling author of Budda’s Brain, NeuroDharma, Just One Thing)
“Dr. Pawa moves mind-body medicine from the margins to the mainstream. Written with compassion, dedication, and rigorous science, this book is the definitive guide to holistic health - both for those who know the mind’s power to help heal the body and for those who have yet to discover it.” (Shimi Kang, MD, psychiatrist, and best-selling author of The Dolphin Parent and The Tech Solution)
“Dr. Bal Pawa is a compassionate physician who successfully integrates recommendations for the mind and body. She helps us realize that our thoughts can be our reality, especially when it comes to our health. And she explains how hormones affect our sleep, immune system, and emotions and how we can support them for optimal health.” (Lorna R. Vanderhaeghe, author of A Smart Woman’s Guide to Hormones)

Hey abuser, have you tried not being a little marxist tool?
I have heard from many recovered Neo-marxist sh*tbags, who have said, giving that poison ideology up turned their entire life around—did wonders for all aspects of mind, body, and soul
-just a thought-

look kid, that might have been a little harsh. I have seen some of your comments and you seem at least good intentioned.
The reality is a lot of things you contribute are just really bad narratives that are hurting our country and intentionally sowing seeds of hate and division because it serves either and or, the marxists who want to create this destruction in the hopes that it will lead to “the revolution” that will in turn, lead to what they believe will some utopia. They are intensionally sowing the seeds of hatred and chaos.
Or, the global elite who want to create a one-world government where they control everything. In order to do this, they need to destroy the United States and the other productive and happy nations. As long as the America exists as it has always existed, they will never be able to convince anyone to give up on freedom and democracy.
We are in an age of information warfare. Everything is narrative and propaganda and unfortunately, you have to your best to weed through it all and determine what is really happening. The American people are good decent people. They are not what many of your books try to claim, and the lies are so very destructive. They are dividing us and weakening us as a people. Try to at least see that

What’s dividing us SantaFe32 is the willingness of old fossils like you listening to people different than yourself. Think before you post.

@SantaFe32 clown emoji, squinty eyed with tears emoji, poop emoji. Your guy is the one who wants to be a fascist dictator you ja*ka*s. Everything you wrote about information warfare and intentionally sowing the seeds of hatred and chaos describes your guy and his side perfectly. I can’t even imagine what it’s like to live in such a tiny world of ignorance and brain washing but it can’t be fun.

The easiest way to control chronic stress is to take a Valium every day. Minimal effort required, no lifestyle modifications necessary.

I am amused by the comment section here. Not sure what a political rant that has clearly been removed or deleted ha stop do with this book. Seriously people need to understand that opinions are like bum holes - everyone has one and they should keep them to themselves. Without seeing the original post I have to agree with SantaFe32 anyway because he was more articulate than the ones below him. Some kids won’t learn until the world is destroyed or they are living a 1984 life they didn’t know was coming. Hilarious to watch.
On the book Dr Pawa is one I’ve not heard of before. Very interesting book. Cheers for the share.
