I drank ayahuasca at a retreat in the mountains and simply put: The people who believed in god attributed their visions to gods, those who believed in a universal consciousness attributed their visions to the universe, those who went in objectively attributed their visions to DMT-induced chemical reactions, and one wackjob claimed the ayahuasca didn’t work for her because her “spirit guide” said she wasn’t ready for it. Man created the supernatural, and ancient civilizations were incredibly vulnerable to crafting mystic stories to explain phenomena they were ignorant about.
